Milk

We offer all children in Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) a drink of milk each day during break.  School milk is free for all under-fives (until they reach their fifth birthday).   When your child turns five you have the option to continue with milk.  The cost is around £15/term.

The Governing Body has made the decision that the school will cover the cost of milk for children eligible for free school meals when they reach the age of five.

Our milk is provided by Cool Milk and payment is made directly to Cool Milk.

All children must be registered with Cool Milk irrespective of whether the milk is paid for or is free.

If you would like your child to receive milk then you must register directly with Cool Milk by 5pm the Tuesday before the week you would like your child to start having milk.  You can do this by either completing the enclosed Registration Form available from the School Office or through registering online at www.coolmilk.com.  The Registration Form must be returned directly to Cool Milk at the FREEPOST address on the form.

Once registered you will receive confirmation from Cool Milk.   If your child is not eligible for Free School Meals when they reach the age of 5 then you will receive a payment request from Cool Milk.

Payment can be made online, over the phone, at a local Pay Point or by cheque in half termly, termly or annual instalments.  Payment must be made by 5pm on Tuesday for your child’s milk to start the following week.  If payments are not received by Cool Milk within their timescales then they will not send milk for your child.

Milk will be delivered to school Monday, Wednesday and Friday by a local supplier and will be kept chilled until it is distributed to the children.
